Caterina Tognon Arte Contemporanea is pleased to announce the solo show by the artist Toots Zynsky, an exhibition that we have been waiting for for many years and which will finally be inaugurated on Saturday, September 17th, at 6.30 pm.
Throughout her career, Toots Zynsky (Boston, 1951; lives and works in Providence, RI, USA) has always looked to nature as a primary source of inspiration.
For this exhibition at the Caterina Tognon gallery in Venice, the artist presents a new body of works that explores, through the chromatic element, the complex relationship between man and the environment.
Opening October 8th
9.10 - 10.12.2022
every day 9:30 am - 5:30 pm
This exhibition tells the story of a collection established between 1990 and 2020 that is still unique in Italy in documenting the International Studio Glass art movement. The exhibition itinerary testifies to the work of 53 international artists with a corpus of 106 works in glass made between the 1950s and the present in Venice, as well as in academies and glassworks in Bohemia, in European research centers, and in the studio-furnaces of American, Canadian and Australian artists.
The collection reflects the friendship between a gallerist and a collector who have cultivated a shared passion for the city of Venice and artistic glass. It bears witness to an artistic practice resting on the encounter between free creativity and the rules of an ancient craft.

Within the project, the mixing of tourism and culture is considered a key asset for the recovery of Venetian companies after the Covid19 outbreak. It is also strategic for the development of Veneto as an international destination. Love!’s goal is to consolidate tourist products belonging to different themes and destinations, by focusing on the integration of tourism and the creative and cultural offer with a sustainable and slow approach.
